Over the past generation, Pittsburgh has retooled its traditional industries, energy, finance, and manufacturing, and has invented entirely new ones in healthcare and IT. We did it by leveraging the enormous capacity for innovation at our colleges and universities and corporate R&D centers.

We also did it by supporting community-driven innovation. Community innovators across the region are developing businesses and initiatives that are creating new opportunities to advance diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the Pittsburgh region.

The Allegheny Conference on Community Development and InnovatePGH are teaming up for the City of Pittsburgh’s Inclusive Innovation Week to host a roundtable discussion to spotlight community-driven businesses and initiatives that are advancing innovation and inclusivity in the Pittsburgh region. The discussion, moderated by InnovatePGH Executive Director Sean Luther, will explore the new forces at play in our innovation economy and how we can all support them and help them grow.
