Pittsburgh’s robust maker scene is helping fuel the transformation of the city’s manufacturing ecosystem. During this event makers, manufacturers, and community leaders will come together to discuss the many ways makers can continue to shape the manufacturing industry. We will explore how to turn ideas into business opportunities, work through scaling challenges, and how a maker’s skill set can translate into employment opportunities.  Additionally, we will explore road blocks makers face and how community leaders can best support the city’s growing maker movement.

This event is part of Inclusive Innovation week and is co-sponsored by PantherlabWorks (part of the University of Pittsburgh’s Institute For Entrepreneurial Excellence) and HackPGH. The event will take place at the University of Pittsburgh's Manufacturing Assistance Center (MAC) maker space. Please reach out to Christine.marty@pittsburghpa.gov for childcare needs.
